About
I am an anthropological archaeologist who specializes in historical and contemporary contexts. In my Ph.D. dissertation, I documented an 1820s mission school for Indian children in northeastern Mississippi, using both archaeological and ethnohistorical methods. In my M.A. thesis, I used archaeological and qualitative methods (including participant mapping) to illuminate and assist those who experience homelessness in Tampa, Florida. In my B.A. Honors thesis, I georeferenced historic fire insurance maps with county parcel data to provide insights into the living conditions of cigar manufacturing workers around the turn of the twentieth century in Ybor City, Florida.
